* Each of the 20 Owls has three options:
1. Autumn Owls (natural color) incorporates a custom Chrysanthemum background quilting exclusively designed for embroidery machines.
2. Colorful Owls each have a different background quilting based on well known quilt blocks with a matching 3"" block that can be freestanding or used as corner blocks for a wall hanging.
3. For 8"" wide hoop, all Owls can be done in the hoop without a quilted background.

"Owls with Attitude" consists of 20 Owls, each with its own personality, based on illustrations by Darcy Ashton in her book Outstanding Owls. A soft fleece is used to obtain the appearance of dimension and depth when decorative quilting stitches are added to the applique elements. The eyes realistically incorporate a speckle effect. The use of a softer, feathery, cover stitch perfectly finishes the applique pieces.
The decorative stitches on the Owls and background quilting were created by Darcy Ashton exclusively for embroidery machines. The pattern includes instructions for creating a Wall Hanging, Tote Bag, or Owl Quilt, and detailed instructions for joining the quilted blocks.
Stitch Area for 20 Owls without quilting background requires an 8"" wide hoop.
Stitch Area for 40 (Autumn & Colorful) Owls with quilting background requires a 9 1/2"" wide hoop.
Stitch Area for 20 different 3"" squares, freestanding fit a 4"" wide hoop
Stitch Area for (four) corner 3"" squares fit an 8"" wide hoop

Shipping Cost and Package Tracking
It is important to understand that most items are now sent USPS Ground Advantage. US Postal Service Ground Advantage is replacing First Class Mail and Parcel Select Ground. The new service offers the same prices and 2-5 day delivery. Orders are sent with a stiffener; this requires package rates for shipping. This shipping option does include insurance for the item if lost or damaged in transit. For items sent via media mail (when they qualify for USPS standards) insurance is included.
If your order is lost or damaged in transit, we can assist filing a claim compensation, be it a refund or replacement.

Can you send a pattern via PDF or download?
As much as we would like to offer this, none of our patterns are available via PDF as the designers of our patterns have retained the copyrights for their work. All of our patterns are physical patterns which will be shipped to you via USPS. If you are looking for a PDF pattern, we highly recommend reaching out to the pattern designer directly as they may have a PDF option available.
Fabric Instructions
Our fabrics come directly from the manufacturer and are not pre-washed. If you are new to working with pre-cut fabrics, the manufactures recommend that they not be washed until your whole project is complete. If you want/need to be able to pre-wash the fabric, we would recommend yardage for your project.
Are these fabrics COLORFAST?
No matter what type fabric you get, you cannot assume that anything is colorfast and will not run or bleed. This can be a nightmare when you have spent a lot of money for beautiful fabric, only to have your project or quilt ruined because of bleeding issues. In order to make many dark colors vibrant, manufacturers have to use a lot of dye. The more dye, the greater the propensity the fabric has to bleed. If you have questions about the colorfastness of a fabric, please test it first. You may have to pre-treat the fabric to better "set" the dye. Even then, it may not be enough and you may have to re-think your project and the fabrics you use. We will not be responsible for its colorfastness, nor will we replace your fabrics

We have made every effort to display, as accurately as possible, the colors of our items. However, as the actual colors you see will depend on your monitor and we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any color will be accurate. If you have any doubt or questions, please ask prior to purchase to avoid any misunderstanding.
Do you ship outside of the United States?
We no longer offer shipping to countries outside of the United States except to Canada. Due to heavy shipping losses and extended ship times due to labor shortages, we can no longer justify or sustain shipping internationally.
